We have some good news for the month of December. First, the release date for Jason Brannon’s chapterbook has been set. It will begin to ship on December 10. Yes, we know it’s been almost two months since our last update, but we have some good news. The second book in our chapterbook line is nearly complete. It’s a chilling story by Jason Brannon titled The Order of the Bull (cover can be seen below). Now, we haven’t settled on a release date yet, but we’re eyeing late September. Keep an eye on this page for further information.

Wow. Almost half of 2009 is over already. It’s been a busy year, but it’s been fun at the same time.
At the moment, we’re having problems getting The Black Garden posted on vendors’ websites. Amazon.com currently says it’s Out of Print, though it certainly is not. We’re confident, however, that this problem will be corrected in the near future.

It’s the 17th, and you know what that means (or soon will, assuming you finish reading this paragraph). Today is the release date for Felicity Dowker’s Phantasy Moste Grotesk. It’s the first installment of what we hope to be a long and successful chapterbook line, so if you’re a fan of horror fiction, do yourself a favor and grab a copy. All pre-orders have been shipped as of this morning.

Corpulent Insanity Press is now closed to chapterbook submissions. Authors who submitted during the open period should receive a response shortly.
In other news, the release date for Phantasy Moste Grotesk has been set for April 17. All copies ordered will be shipped on that date.

Today we received a shipment of books from the printer. These books are titled (drumroll, please) The Black Garden, and they will ship Friday, a whole two days ahead of schedule.

Corpulent Insanity Press will be releasing Felicity Dowker’s Phantasy Moste Grotesk in the coming months. This wonderfully macabre tale will start off CIP’s Chapterbook Line and, if all goes well, CIP will become strictly a limited-edition chapterbook publisher. Stay tuned for more information.

Happy new year.
The release date for The Black Garden has been set for March, although we will likely open for pre-orders in mid February. Depending on TBG’s success, it may be the last anthology released by Corpulent Insanity Press. At the time being, we’re focusing more on our Chapterbook line, to begin in mid-2009.
Below is our first advertisement for TBG. Feel free to post it on your website, blog, etc. We won’t hunt you down and lop off your head if you do. In fact, we’ll probably slaughter a virgin goat in your honor.

The time has come for another announcement. This time, I’d like to point out that Bloody October has been filled, and the complete Table of Contents is available, so go check it out. It’s going to be released mid-September, and is a great Halloween read.
Second, the cover art for The Black Gardenis complete. The artist, Inzekkt, was a pleasure to work with, and produced a beautiful illustration. It can be viewed on The Black Garden page, which you can find through the Submission Guidelines link on the right side of the screen.
